Bada Mangal is being celebrated with great pomp today. A grand bhandaara has been organized by Shekhar Kirana Store in Lucknow. Rajma rice is being distributed in it. Long queues of devotees are seen in the bhandaara since morning. People are waiting for their turn to take the prasad.

Shekhar Sahu of the organizing committee says- We have made preparations for 10,000 people in the bhandaar, but seeing the queue of devotees, it seems that the arrangements will have to be increased. There are religious beliefs associated with Bada Mangal, but another factor is that the temperature in the month of Jyeshtha is more than 40°C. People serve cold sherbet at various places so that people do not remain thirsty. Whether it is a Hindu or a Muslim, there is no discrimination.
Shekhar says- Our Bhandara has been going on for 10 years. It started very small, then very few people were involved. But with time the faith grew and the scale of the Bhandara also grew. People come from far and wide to the Bhandara, rich and poor all stand in line and take the prasad. Everyone takes the prasad after meditating on Hanumanji.
