Pharmacist Sanjeev Kumar and sweeper Satyaveer posted at the postmortem house in Badaun have been accused of locking a young man in a room of the postmortem house and beating him. The young man gave a complaint to the police about the matter. On receiving the information, CMO, CO City Alok Mishra and SHO Civil reached the spot.

Apart from the family members, a young man named Vicky also works to lift the bodies brought to the postmortem house. Although Vicky is not posted here in the records, he gets some money from the family members in exchange for carrying the bodies and this is his source of livelihood. Apart from this, he also helps the police in lifting the rotten bodies found in an abandoned condition and gets money from there.

On Wednesday, Vicky reached Civil Lines police station and filed a complaint with the police that the pharmacist and sweeper posted at the postmortem house locked him inside and beat him. There were marks of beating on Vicky’s back as well. On this, the police initially started the process of getting his medical done. Meanwhile, this matter reached the CMO.

Officers reached the postmortem house

After some time, CMO along with CO City and Civil Lines police station reached the postmortem house and recorded the statement of the sweeper along with the pharmacist. After this, the CMO issued a statement to remove the pharmacist from there. The CMO said that the order is being prepared. The police is talking about taking action after investigation regarding the complaint.
