Bada Mangal was celebrated with great pomp in Lucknow. A grand bhandaara was organized by Balaji Seva Samiti, Kalebir Baba Mandir Sevadar Samiti and Journalist Association Samiti at Sankat Mochan Mandir and Shri Balaji Mandir in Mohanlalganj town. Puri, vegetable and boondi were distributed in it.

Organizing committee president Ashok Tiwari and general secretary Akhilesh Dwivedi, senior vice presidents Lalit Dixit and Vijay Jaiswal, treasurer Navneet Tiwari say that we had made preparations for more than 4 people in the bhandaar, but seeing the queue of devotees, we felt that the arrangements would have to be increased. There are religious beliefs associated with Bada Mangal, but another factor is that the temperature in the month of Jyeshtha is more than 40°C. People serve cold sherbet at various places so that people do not remain thirsty. Be it Hindu or Muslim, there is no discrimination.
Ashok Tiwari of the organizing committee says- Our Bhandara has been going on for many years. It started very small, then only a few people were involved. But with time the faith grew and the scale of the Bhandara also grew. People from far and wide come to the Bhandara, rich and poor all stand in line and take the prasad. Everyone takes the prasad after meditating on Hanumanji.
