In view of the security arrangements, a special campaign was launched in Bhadohi on Wednesday on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Dr. Meenakshi Katyayan for intensive checking of business establishments, banks and suspicious persons and vehicles. During the checking campaign, the police seized vehicles without number plates.

Intensive checking of vehicles
Under the direction of the SP, all police station and outpost in-charges launched a special campaign for intensive checking in banks and its surrounding areas. In the course of the campaign, all police station and outpost in-charges of the district, along with the police teams formed for checking, conducted intensive checking of suspicious persons, objects and vehicles in all banks, post offices, customer service centers and business establishments, bullion market and its surrounding areas under the police station area.
During the checking, the alarms and CCTV cameras installed in the banks were checked to see if they were working properly or not. The branch manager was also talked to in this regard. Through this campaign, the police made the general public aware of their safety.
Checking was done by placing barriers at major points
After identifying the suspects at major points under the police station area of the district, barriers were set up and suspicious bike riders and vehicles were checked. During the checking, for not presenting valid documents, challan action was taken against the concerned person. Vehicles without number plates and with wrong number plates were kept under strict surveillance. The policemen engaged on bank duty were checked and instructed to perform their duty vigilantly. Suspicious persons in the bank premises were interrogated and persons sitting unnecessarily were removed from the bank premises.
