A case of assault and abuse of a shopkeeper has come to light in Gosaiganj town of Lucknow. It is alleged that the accused along with his sons beat up the shopkeeper. His daughter who came to rescue him was also abused. The police have registered a case and started investigation.

Harshita Gupta, a resident of Sadarpur Karora village, says that her father Sandeep Gupta runs a shop. At 11 pm on Tuesday night, Ramkumar, who lives nearby, came along with his sons Shubham and Subhash and beat up and abused her father.
On protesting, all of them started hitting the counter of the shop. They also threatened to kill her. When she protested, the accused misbehaved with her and tried to beat her. The victim alleges that when she called the police control room on dial-112 number, the police reached the spot and came to the police station and returned after talking about the complaint.
After the complaint, the police have registered a case and started investigating the matter.
