A huge fire broke out in the garbage dumping yard of A2Z on Wednesday night. This caused chaos in the entire area.
On one hand, Aligarh is experiencing severe heat, on the other hand, incidents of arson are also happening continuously. On Wednesday night, a fire broke out in the A2Z plant located on Mathura Road in the Sasnigate police station area. Tons of garbage is lying inside the plant and the fire spread rapidly in it.

Within no time, the fire took a monstrous form and thick smoke started emanating from it. When the smoke reached the surrounding area, people came to know about the fire and panic ensued. People immediately informed the police control room and the fire brigade. After which several fire engines reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire.
Garbage has been accumulating in the A2Z plant for years and mountains of garbage have formed here.
There is a mountain of garbage in the dumping yard
Garbage is being collected in the dumping yard of A2Z plant located on Mathura Road for almost 10 years. Lakhs of tons of garbage has collected here, which has now taken the form of a mountain. This garbage has completely dried up in the scorching heat and when it caught fire, it took a monstrous form in a short time.
The matter of relief is that there is an empty field next to the plant and the colonies are quite far from the field. Therefore, there was no loss of life, but people had to face trouble due to the heavy and harmful smoke emanating from here. It is being speculated that someone has thrown some burning object here, which caused this fire.
There are also residential colonies around the plant, people here had to face problems.
It took several hours to extinguish the fire
A small fire broke out in the A2Z plant around 7:30 pm. But nobody paid attention to it during this time. The fire kept increasing and by 10 o’clock it took a terrible form. After this people informed the fire brigade.
On receiving the information, several vehicles reached the spot one after the other and they controlled the fire. After this, people heaved a sigh of relief. But due to burning of garbage, its smoke and terrible stench spread in the surrounding area. There are residential colonies about one kilometer away from the plant, which had to face the suffocating smoke and stench arising from this fire.
