The people who lost their lives in the accident are said to be from Naya village of Iglas tehsil of Aligarh. As soon as the matter came to light, the District Magistrate immediately sent a team of officials to Iglas and started collecting the data of the pilgrims going on the Yatra. In Aligarh, he talked to the family members of the pilgrims, so that clear information about the people of Aligarh could be obtained.

The bus was registered in Aligarh

The bus carrying pilgrims to Jammu is registered in Aligarh. Earlier, it was reported that the number of this bus was UP86 EC 4078. But the correct number of this bus is said to be UP81 EC 4058. This bus met with an accident in Akhnoor, Jammu and the passengers lost their lives.

The RTO administration in Aligarh says that all the documents of the bus were complete and it also had an All India permit. ARTO Administration Pravesh Kumar said that this bus was registered in the name of Sanjay Gupta, a resident of Shiv Colony of Navipur Kala in Hathras. Its fitness is till 2025 and insurance is also till 15 February 2025.

Passengers were seated in excess of capacity

According to the RTO, the bus carrying the pilgrims had a capacity of 57 people and it was a 57 seater bus. But at the time of the accident, there were 90 passengers in it. Due to this, its balance must have deteriorated and it fell 150 feet down into the ditch and people lost their lives.

The list of those who lost their lives is being confirmed

After the accident, the Aligarh administration is constantly trying to contact the officials of the Jammu administration. A list of those who lost their lives and those injured has also come out, in which a total of 69 people are said to be injured. The number of injured people from Aligarh is said to be 41. While 11 people from Aligarh are reported to have died.

After receiving this information, the Aligarh administration is busy confirming it by contacting the Jammu officials. The deceased will be identified on the basis of the documents and other ID proofs found with them. This will confirm how many of the people injured and killed in the accident are from Aligarh.

Police and administration issued helpline numbers

After the accident, the people of Naya village in Aligarh are constantly getting worried. In such a situation, a control room has been set up by the police and administration, so that people can contact it and talk to the officials. At the same time, the officials are constantly in touch with the people and are appealing to them to maintain peace.

The number of deaths in Aligarh is not confirmed

SDM Iglas Mahima Rajput said that the information about how many people from Aligarh are injured and how many have lost their lives in the accident is not confirmed yet. The Aligarh administration is constantly contacting Jammu. People in the village have been contacted and they are being constantly talked to. Peace and order is maintained in the village.
