It is alleged that he was kept in illegal custody in the police station for 24 hours and when the matter became public on Wednesday, a written complaint was taken from the sweeper and an FIR was lodged against barber Vinod under the SC/ST Act. This matter has reached the government level. However, the CO says that a case was registered after receiving a complaint against the barber. Because of filing the case, baseless allegations are being made against him.

Questions were also raised on the encounter
Sunil Kumar has also been posted as CO Bilsi in the past. In March 2023, Bilsi police station had shown the arrest of a member of the buffalo thief gang after an encounter. The police had claimed that several rounds of firing took place from both sides, only then the accused was caught and his companions fled. The accused Bhura is a resident of Khairi village in Bilsi area. At that time, the police boasted of a big success in the encounter, but a few days later the family members raised questions on the encounter.

The family members said that Bhura had left after attending the court hearing and had taken his bike in charge on Water Works Road. Meanwhile, the police picked him up during the day. However, the encounter was shown to have taken place at night. The CCTV video of the police picking up Bhura also came to light. When questions were raised on the encounter, the CO’s reputation also got tarnished. An investigation was conducted and Sunil Kumar was removed from Bilsi by the then SSP Dr. OP Singh.

Allegations were also made in Binawar
As CO, Sunil Kumar was also handling the responsibility of Binawar police station as per departmental procedure, and he was accused of taking unilateral action in a case of assault. Here also the matter reached the officers, but due to some reason or the other, the charges could not be framed.

CO sahab made the allegation
The victim barber Vinod said that I had gone to cut hair and the boss got angry. He got angry and asked me why I was late. I told him that there was some work at the shop and I had left the customer to go to work. He got angry with me and chased me away.

Then I left, and no one spoke to me. I went to the shop. Then two policemen came and picked me up and took me away. Then I was kept in the lockup all day and night. I was released this morning. I have not seen the person who has filed a case against me, I don’t even know him. CO sahab has made this false allegation against me. I have not made any complaint yet.
