Coolers have been installed in transformers in seven sub-stations in Kanpur city, in which four to five coolers have been installed near the transformers in Defense Colony, Chhabilepurva, Govind Nagar, Kidwai Nagar, Sarvodaya Nagar area of ​​Jajmau.

Transformers are getting overloaded

Media in-charge Kesco has told that in such areas, it was found during investigation that the transformers are constantly getting overloaded and getting heated. Those power sub-stations have been identified and coolers have been installed there to keep the transformers cool. XEN of Jajmau Electricity Department Sub Station told that the coolers are run continuously and sufficient water is also poured in them due to which the transformer remains cool due to the spray. Four coolers have been installed in a big transformer.

Arrangements made for cooling

There should be no problem in power supply because due to extreme heat, transformers are constantly failing due to overload and overheating. Therefore, a way was found to keep these transformers cool so that there is no problem in supplying power. Coolers have been installed in large transformers at seven places in the city. So that cool air can be supplied to the transformer from the cooler.
