Due to the intense heat in the district, a fire broke out in the transformer of Sabzi Mandi situated at Chowk in Azamgarh on Wednesday night. Gradually, this fire reached the power supply cable. After which the cable started burning. Due to the burning of the transformer and cable, the power supply remained disrupted till late night. Due to which the normal life of the people became badly disrupted.
There is silence on the roads in the scorching sun and humid heat. A day before the scorching heat, four monkeys died after falling from a tree. Out of these, three monkeys died after falling from a tree near the Collectorate while one monkey died in the Chowk area.
Local people say that the way the temperature is constantly increasing, the life of animals and birds along with the common people is getting badly affected. This is the reason that these monkeys also died due to extreme heat. The situation is getting worse due to power cuts and low voltage.
Earlier, two unidentified old men died under suspicious circumstances in two police station areas. One old man was found dead in Mubarakpur police station area while the other was found dead in Phulpur police station area. Both could not be identified till late night. Foam was seen coming out of the mouths of both the old men.
Effect of Nautapa is visible
The effect of Nautapa that started on Saturday is being seen on Wednesday as well. While the temperature was 46°C on Tuesday, the temperature may increase by 1°C on Wednesday. Today the maximum temperature is expected to reach 47°C. While the minimum will be 30°C.
During this time, the chances of heat wave will be less and the weather will remain humid. The wind speed will also be around 10-12km per hour. Actually, the sun is closest to the earth during Nautapa. This is the reason why the heat is very intense during this time.

Take Voltage has increased trouble
Due to low voltage, coolers, ACs and fans in the house stop working completely. This low voltage situation persists till late night and remains the same till 4 am. Whereas, the problem of power cuts has also increased in many areas of the city these days.
