A notice was sent to Maheshwari Hospital by the CFO on March 30. It was stated in it that the concerned hospital had applied online for the NOC of the fire department. As per the rules, when the CFO did a site inspection of the hospital on February 16, 2024, fire safety was not found as per the standard. While registering the objection on behalf of the fire office, it was also mentioned that the hospital should not be operated until the standards are met.
After the death of innocent children due to fire in Child Hospital on the night of 25th May in Delhi, the Chief Fire Officer has once again sent a reminder to the CMO and has pleaded to stop the operation of the hospital till the standards are met.
CMO said will get the investigation done
CMO Dr. Abdul Salam said that CFO’s letter has been received in the post. The investigation of this case has been handed over to ACMO Dr. Javed. He will go to the spot and do a field inspection. Further action will be taken on that basis. Meanwhile, when Maheshwari Hospital operator Dr. Manoj Maheshwari was contacted on his mobile, he said that the standards have been met. The CFO said that a reminder has been sent to the CMO.
