The scorching heat continues to wreak havoc in entire Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow. Many people have died so far due to heat and heat wave. Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahali, President of Islamic Center of India, took the initiative to protect from the heat and made environmental protection a religious duty.

Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahali also released a video after issuing the fatwa. He said, social activist Mohammad Tariq Khan had asked the Islamic Center of India about what Islam says about global warming, pollution and heat wave. In response to which the fatwa has been issued.
He said, whatever nature has created in the form of trees and plants for humans and animals, it is our human and religious responsibility to protect them.
Maulana said that this is mandatory for people of all religions including Muslims. He appealed to plant as many trees as possible to eliminate pollution and avoid global warming. Maulana said, Prophet Muhammad has taught to save water and not waste it.
Maulana Khalid Rashid said that we all have to protect the environment together. No green trees, plants or crops should be burnt or cut.
