In Lucknow, a strongman encroached the land of a government pond and started building a permanent structure. The incident is from Mahurakhurd village of Mohanlalganj. When the villagers protested against the encroachment on the pond, the strongman threatened them and drove them away.

After which the angry villagers made a written complaint to Mohanlalganj SDM Brijesh Kumar Verma and demanded to stop the illegal occupation of the land of the government pond. The SDM directed the joint team of revenue and police to go to the spot and take action.
Villagers said that rainwater from people’s houses collects in the government pond located in their village. Nand Kishore, a domineering man, forcibly dug the foundation with a JCB on the land of the government pond and started illegal construction of a permanent structure.
Villagers told SDM that due to occupation of government pond, there will be problem in drainage of water from houses and rain water. Due to filling up of pond by the powerful people, water from houses is not able to drain. SDM Brijesh Kumar Verma assured the villagers of action and directed joint teams of revenue and police to visit the spot and investigate and take action.
