On Sunday, the apartment owner Madhukant Das Mishra was passing by his room and saw the gate open. On looking inside, Alan Tieffenbach was lying on the floor.

The police who reached the spot found the matter suspicious. After which the police took the body into custody and sent it to the postmortem house. After this, the police called the forensic team to the spot and started the investigation. The forensic team collected all the evidence present on the spot.

Since the case involved a foreign national, the LIU team also reached the spot. LIU informed the German Embassy about this. Now the police and LIU team are waiting for the response of the German Embassy and the relatives of the deceased. Further action will be taken after this.
