Last evening, while bathing in the canal located at Rupau bridge in the Makhi police station area of ​​Unnao, a teenager drowned after going into deep water. The friends present there kept searching for him in the water for a long time. But when he could not be found, they informed the family members. The weeping family members were present at the spot.

Avi Tiwari, the 17 year old son of Deepu Tiwari, a resident of Kanshiram Colony Mohalla of Sadar Kotwali area, was preparing for the Merchant Navy along with his studies. Last evening, he had gone to take bath in the canal located at Rupau bridge with six friends. While bathing, all the friends of the same age were jumping into the water from the bridge. Meanwhile, Avi drowned while bathing in the canal due to going into deep water. While other friends were present on the canal bridge. Avi did not know how to swim. Due to which he could not come out of the deep water. Friends searched for him. But when he was not found, they informed the family. The family reached the spot at night and informed the police about the incident. The police reached the spot and called the divers. The divers recovered the body of Avi from the canal late at night. Acting police station in-charge Aslam said that the body has been sent for post-mortem.

Father is accusing friends regarding son’s death-

The deceased Avi was the elder of two brothers. The younger one is Lavi. Mother Neelam is inconsolable over the death. Father Deepu takes care of the family by driving an e-rickshaw. The friend’s mother had informed about son Avi drowning in the canal. Late night divers recovered the body twenty meters away from the spot towards Sonic. On getting the information, the Lekhpal’s team also went to the spot. The father’s allegation was that he was eating food at home. Avi’s friends had taken away the food leaving the roti.
