In Lucknow, miscreants broke into a shop and beat up a shopkeeper for not paying extortion money. The incident took place in Sushant Golf City Police Station area. The shopkeeper alleges that the chain around his neck was snatched and Rs 50,000 kept on the counter was looted.

When people gathered, the bully threatened to kill them and fled. The victim has given a written complaint to Sushant Golf City Kotwali Police. The police have started investigation.
Police said, the victim Shubham Verma (28) is a resident of Gosaiganj Market Central. He runs a clothes shop in partnership with his friend Vipin Awasthi in Khurdahi Market of Sushant Golf City area. Shubham Verma alleges that at around 5 pm, Satish Saini, Shubham Shukla, Deepak Soni suddenly came to the shop and started demanding extortion in lieu of running the shop.
Shubham said, when he protested, all three started abusing and beating him. They started vandalizing the shop. At the same time, Satish Saini forcibly snatched the gold chain from his neck and looted about 50,000 rupees from the cash box. He also threatened him and asked him to pay 20,000 rupees every month. The shopkeeper informed about the incident on Dial 112. As soon as the police arrived, all three accused fled.
In this case, Inspector Sushant Golf City Anjani Kumar Mishra said, Shubham Verma has filed a written complaint against the accused. The accused and the victim already know each other. The police is investigating the matter. Legal action will be taken after the investigation.
