There is a 500-year-old pond in Kashipur village of Junawai police station area of Sambhal district. In which turtles of rare species are growing and there was a lot of dirt around this pond. IPS Anukriti Sharma, who reached Kashipur village in May, saw this pond, in which some turtles were seen. After talking to the Pradhan and villagers, it was found that there are turtles of rare species in this pond.
After the pond was cleaned the turtle was reintroduced into it.
Turtle conservation was in danger due to the dirt around the pond. When turtle conservation was in danger, female IPS officer Anukriti Sharma took the responsibility of its conservation. She started a cleanliness drive by communicating with the people of the village. Women and girls of the village also joined this campaign of the IPS.
IPS Anukriti Sharma herself got down into the pond and cleaned the dirt and also made the villagers aware about cleanliness. She took a pledge on World Turtle Day that she will preserve the pond till World Environment Day. Something similar has happened today on Environment Day. This 500-year-old pond of the village has been preserved. The woman officer transformed this pond.
A net has been installed on the banks of the pond.
After the beautification of the pond, the turtles breeding in it were also seen frolicking in the water. IPS Anukriti Sharma also honored the women, girls and other villagers associated with the campaign. ASP South Anukriti Sharma said that the campaign was started on 23 May from World Turtle Day to World Environment Day. Rare species of turtles are present in the pond of village Kashipur. There was a lot of dirt around the pond. A cleanliness drive was started. The pond was also cleaned. A net was installed around it so that people cannot make any dirt. The villagers fully supported her in this campaign.
The 500 year old pond was preserved.
