In Chinhat of the capital Lucknow, four youths got into an argument with the shopkeeper when they did not get a discount of Rs. 300 while buying clothes. After the shop was closed, the four youths attacked with a country-made bomb and spread terror. The neighbours threatened to kill the shopkeeper.

DCP East Prabal Pratap Singh said that the four accused arrested are Chinhat resident Sumit Maurya, Aditya Tiwari, Monu Shukla and BBD resident Gagan Singh. Buddha Vihar Colony resident Monis had told that he was at home at around 11 pm. Then he came to know from the people of the area that some people have thrown a country-made bomb at a garment shop located on Malhaur Road. He rushed there and informed the police. The attackers had fled before the police could reach. People present nearby said that the attackers had gone after threatening to kill him and his family members.
The DCP said that Chinhat police took action and arrested all four within a few hours with the help of CCTV footage. During interrogation, they told that they had gone to Monis’ shop to buy clothes. The price of the clothes was one thousand rupees, but those people were giving seven hundred rupees. Monis refused to give the clothes. This led to a dispute. After this, those people left from there and returned late at night with their friends and attacked with a country-made bomb and fled.
25 cotton bombs were recovered from the accused
Inspector Ashwani Chaturvedi said that 25 cotton bombs have been recovered from the accused. He said that they have given the name of a person from whom they buy these bombs. A team has been deployed to search for him. He also said that they scare people with the help of these bombs. The criminal history of all four is being investigated.
Cash reward for the team that catches the accused soon
The DCP said that as soon as the information about the incident was received, the crime team along with the Chinhat police was also engaged. Both the teams arrested the four accused with the help of surveillance and CCTV. The team that exposes the crime soon will be given a cash reward.
