West Indies defeated New Zealand by 13 runs in the 29th match of the ICC T20 World Cup. This is West Indies’ second consecutive win against the Kiwi team in the T20 World Cup. Before this, only one match was played between the two teams in the 2012 World Cup, which West Indies won in the Super Over.
New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad. West Indies scored 149 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs and gave New Zealand a target of 150 runs. In reply, New Zealand could only score 136 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.
