A unique case of theft has come to light in Mahoba of Bundelkhand. Here the thieves broke into a farmer’s house and stole the cash along with gold and silver jewellery. While leaving, they wrote “This house is for sale” on the door of the house. The victim farmer is shocked by this act of the cunning thieves.

The case is of Salaiya Khalsa village of Panwadi police station area. Kunwarlal Rajput, a resident of Salaiya Khalsa village, says that he cultivates sugarcane. He had kept 2 lakh 30 thousand rupees at home after selling the jaggery made from it. Apart from this, gold and silver jewellery were also kept at home. Yesterday he had gone to the field with his family to harvest sugarcane. Meanwhile, some thieves from the village entered the house.
After breaking into the house, the thieves wrote “House is for sale” on the wall.
They stole gold and silver jewellery kept in the house including gold earrings, a mangalsutra, manchali, three hi, a pair of silver anklets, two gold rings, two gold bangles and Rs 2.30 lakh. Not only this, after the theft, the cunning thieves wrote “This house is for sale” on the house of the victim farmer and fled.
When the whole family reached home from the farm, they were shocked to see “This house is for sale” written on the door of their house. When they entered the house, they saw that the cash and gold and silver jewellery kept in the house was also missing. On one hand, the farmer’s family was troubled and shocked by this act of the thieves. On the other hand, the gathered villagers are discussing this unique case of theft.

The victim farmer filed a written complaint against three named thieves and other unknown thieves in the police station, but the police has not taken any action yet. In such a situation, the victim reached the SP office on Friday and demanded legal action against the accused along with the demand to recover the stolen goods and cash. Panwadi police station in-charge Manish Pandey said that the matter is being investigated.
