On World Blood Donation Day, a big event was organized in KGMU’s Transfusion Medicine Department on Friday. Governor Anandi Ben Patel attended the ‘Raktdaan Ko Samman Program’. Institutions that came forward to support the blood donation camp were honored.

The Governor stressed on being cautious about blood donation as well as the operation of the blood bank. During this, Dr. Tulika Chandra, head of the Department of Transfusion Medicine, explained the benefits of blood donation along with the achievements of the department.
Minister of State Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh, Principal Secretary Parth Sarthi Sen Sharma, Mission Director National Health Mission Pinky Jowell, KGMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Sonia Nityananda were present in the program.
