Dr. Devendra Sharma, Chairman of the State Child Rights Protection Commission, reached Sonbhadra on Saturday. He held a review meeting with district level officials and officials of the girls’ home at Circuit House Churuk.

During this, Dr. Devendra Sharma collected information from the District Program Officer, District Basic Education Officer, District Excise Officer and officials of the Women Welfare Department regarding the schemes run by their departments.
Dr. Devendra Sharma gathered information about the facilities being provided to children by Anganwadi and gave necessary instructions to the District Program Officer for taking care of malnourished children.
Information about studies
Similarly, he also learned about the education and sports being provided in council schools and motivated the teachers to provide better education to the children. He also asked them to make the children aware about better education.
He also inquired about the facilities being provided to the girls in the Balika Grih and said that the girls should be persuaded to return to their homes and efforts should be made to hand them over to their guardians.
He asked to make people aware about de-addiction. He said that under Kanya Sumangala Yojana, a special campaign should be run to benefit the students of primary school, secondary school, Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School.
