In Amethi, when the dowry demand was not met, the in-laws accused the married woman of being pregnant and gave her abortion pills a few days after the marriage. After taking the abortion pills, the married woman’s condition deteriorated and about a month later, the married woman died during treatment.

The in-laws cremated the body in the presence of the deceased’s family members, but now the father has accused them of murdering the deceased by giving her wrong medicine for dowry. The deceased’s father has complained to the DM and SP against the husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law, after which, on the instructions of the DM, the body was exhumed from the grave after 6 days in the presence of the police and sent for postmortem.
Actually, this whole matter is of Khaga Pathak Ka Purwa Ward No. 13 of Gauriganj Kotwali area. Where Amar Pal Saroj, a resident of Durga Pasi Ka Purwa village of Amethi Kotwali area, married his daughter Anjali to Suraj son of Radheshyam, a resident of Khaga Pathak Ka Purwa village on 26 April this year. In the marriage, Amarpal gave all the dowry as per his capacity but the in-laws were demanding more dowry.
The police exhumed the woman’s body from the grave in the presence of administrative officers.
He used to beat me for dowry
Husband Suraj used to beat Anjali for not getting enough dowry. After one month of marriage, in-laws went to Nasirabad to get Anjali examined for stomach pain and after the examination, they said that she is three months pregnant. They gave her medicine to induce abortion.
After taking the abortion medicine, Anjali’s condition started deteriorating. Anjali informed the family members after which her brother reached the spot and took his sister to the hospital. Where the doctor told after ultrasound that there was a stone.
His health deteriorated on 8 June
On June 8, Anjali’s health suddenly deteriorated. After which she was taken to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where she died. The in-laws cremated the deceased in their village in the presence of relatives but now the father has accused the in-laws of murdering her by feeding her wrong medicine for dowry.
The deceased’s father Amar Pal Saroj gave a complaint letter to the DM SP and accused the husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law of murdering his daughter for not fulfilling the dowry demand. After which, on the instructions of the DM, the body was exhumed from the grave and sent for postmortem in the presence of Gauriganj police and SDM Digvijay Singh. It is being told that the postmortem of the body will be done under the supervision of a video camera by a panel of three doctors. Gauriganj SHO Shyam Narayan Pandey said that after the postmortem report comes, action will be taken accordingly.
