An old man who had come to Meerut’s Pyarelal Sharma District Hospital for treatment was beaten up by the doctor. Because the old man could not stand due to illness and was repeatedly requesting the doctor to see him quickly. Due to this, the doctor got furious and beat up the old man.

75-year-old Sagir, a resident of Khairnagar situated in Delhi Gate police station area, has been ill for quite some time. According to the information, Sagir’s condition was very bad on Saturday, due to which he went to the emergency of the district hospital to get medicine. Due to his condition being very bad, the elderly man was unable to stand. Due to which the elderly man asked Dr. Harshil Singh posted in the emergency to give medicine soon, due to which the doctor got furious and slapped the elderly man repeatedly. During the beating, the elderly man fell in the emergency, and while crying informed his family members about the matter. On receiving the information, the elderly’s family members reached the district hospital and after getting information about the matter from the elderly, informed the police about the incident.

The elderly man demanded action by giving a written complaint

On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and after investigation asked the elderly to give a written complaint. After which the elderly reached the police station and filed a complaint against the accused doctor and the emergency staff and demanded action. When an attempt was made to talk to the doctor in the case, his phone was not received. At the same time, the Delhi Gate police station in-charge has said that action will be taken after investigating the matter.
