Fardeen regrets staying away from the industry for 14 years: Said- I was in touch with Salman, convinced the casting director to get me work

Actor Fardeen Khan has made an acting comeback with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series ‘Heeramandi’. The actor said in a recent interview that he regrets staying away from the industry for years.
Fardeen told that during this time he had left Mumbai and shifted somewhere else due to which many filmmakers felt that he was not interested in acting.
Fardeen has played an important role in the recently released ‘Heeramandi’.
‘I was just in contact with fewer people’
In an interview to Pinkvilla, Fardeen said, ‘I kept getting offers till 2014-15. After that people thought that I had left the country. I am trying to change this perception till date. I was in the country all the time. I was just in contact with very few people.’
The actor’s last film was ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’, released in 2010.
I wish this gap was less than 6-7 years: Fardeen
The actor further said, ‘By the time I started getting film offers, I had gained a lot of weight. People then thought that I was not interested in acting. Overall, I regret taking a break of 12-14 years from the industry. I had not planned anything but sometimes I wish this gap was 6 to 7 years less.’
Fardeen worked with Salman in the film ‘No Entry’. Despite being away from the industry, the actor always remained in touch with Salman.
‘When I returned, it was a scary atmosphere’
During this time, Fardeen also remained in touch with superstar Salman Khan. The actor said, ‘When I decided to make a comeback, I contacted all the people with whom I had worked before. When I returned, that time was very scary. I felt like a complete newcomer.
During this entire period, I was in touch with Salman Khan. Sanjay Gupta also offered me a film ‘Visfot’. I also met casting director Mukesh Chhabra. I am still meeting people and convincing them that I am back and want to work.

Fardeen has returned from ‘Heeramandi’ after 14 years
Fardeen, who made his debut with the film ‘Prem Aggan’ in 1998, his last film was ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ released in 2010.
Now he has made a comeback after 14 years with ‘Heeramandi’. Apart from this, Fardeen also has a comedy film ‘Khel-Khel Mein’ in which apart from him, actors like Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu will be seen.
