On the instructions of SP Abhinandan, Additional Superintendent of Police Nitesh Singh and City Area Officer Manoj Kumar Gupta toured the streets of the city with a team to spread the message of celebrating Bakrid festival in a safe and peaceful environment in Mirzapur.

To maintain peace and law and order in the district, the police line conducted foot patrolling in the mixed population areas of the city with adequate police force. During this, the common people were talked to and assured of security. The team that left from the police line walked in various areas including Tarkapur, Sankatmochan, Ram Bagh.
Talking to the common man, they were told not to offer namaaz on the road and to offer sacrifices only at the designated place. People were advised to celebrate the festival with joy and enthusiasm as per the prescribed rules and regulations. People were told to strengthen the tradition of Ganga-Yamuna.
