In a village in Muzaffarnagar, the family has accused the village head of harassment and has threatened to sell their house and shop and migrate. The victim’s family alleges that the village head is getting false cases registered against them. Five days ago, a member of the victim’s family was accused of Dalit harassment.

Mohit Garg, son of Vinod Kumar Garg, a resident of Chaurawala village of Kakrauli police station of the district, said that his family has been living in this village for several generations and runs a grocery shop. Mohit alleges that the village head has been harassing his family continuously for the last 2 years.

Goods worth Rs. 60,000 were borrowed from his shop during the Pradhani elections. The Gram Pradhan is constantly harassing him when he demands payment. Now the situation has become such that the Gram Pradhan harasses him every day on some pretext or the other through some government department.

He gets fake cases registered against them. Due to which they have become so helpless that they have decided to migrate from the village. They have written on their house that ‘House and shop are for sale’.

The victim’s family has expressed their pain by releasing a video message. In which the women of the family are also crying and telling their plight. They are pleading to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their safety and justice.

Kakroli police station in-charge inspector Ramkumar says that the matter is being investigated. It will be resolved soon.
