In front of the Sidhua Bazaar Chowki on the Padrauna-Dudhi road of Kushinagar, a tempo full of passengers went out of control and ran over several members of the same family sitting outside the house and fled from the spot. In this, a 9-year-old girl died during treatment. While four people were injured. The injured were taken to hospital.

People sitting outside the house were trampled

A tempo driver, resident of Tola Fakirhwa of Jungle Pachrukhiya village of Kotwali Padrauna police station area was taking some people of the village in his tempo to Padrauna railway station to catch a train. He had just reached in front of Sidhua Bazar Chowki on Padrauna Dudhi road, when the tempo went out of control and ran over several people sitting outside the house. During this, Anjali (9), daughter of Rangeela Valmiki, resident of Jungle Banveerpur village Sidhua Bazar, died.

Police started investigation after registering FIR

While Jitendra (45) son of Lalman Valmiki and Kishan (12) son of Jitendra, Anupa Devi (60) wife of Ramchhabila along with passenger Rangeela’s wife were also badly injured. After the incident, hearing the cries of the family members, people from the vicinity gathered. Outpost in-charge Narendra Kumar Rai, who reached the spot, along with his constables sent the injured to the district hospital for treatment. After the post-mortem of the deceased Anjali, her family members cremated her. In-charge Inspector Kotwali Padrauna Sushil Kumar Shukla said that a case has been registered against the tempo vehicle owner and further action is being taken.
