In Ayodhya, lathi charge took place over the possession of a shop adjacent to Ram Path. In this dispute that took place last night, businessman Vikas Gupta was seriously injured. He has got about a dozen stitches on his head. 3 other members of the family have also sustained serious injuries in the incident. The incident took place at 9 pm.

On the assurance of Ramjanmabhoomi police station in-charge Devendra Pandey, the traders did not block the Ram Path. The victim’s family has given a written complaint about the incident to the police. On this basis, the police is taking action to register a case.

The shop wall was broken and a wall was made

In the complaint given to the police, the victim brother Vineet Gupta has alleged that his brother Vivek Gupta from Haridwari of Hanumangarhi has taken a shop adjacent to Rampath in the name of his wife. This shop is near Hanumangarhi intersection. Three saints of Haridwari Patti of Hanumangarhi had built a wall by breaking the wall of this shop. The wall built was removed on the orders of Mahant Murali Das of Haridwari Patti. Angered by this, half a dozen saints including Teeka Das, Dhananjay Das and Ram Das attacked with sticks.

There was also talk of keeping Ayodhya closed but no decision has been taken on this

Vikas Gupta along with his brother Vivek had gone to install CCTV cameras for security after the construction during the day. During this time both the brothers were attacked. As soon as the information of the incident was received, business leaders Nand Kumar Gupta Nandu, Pankaj Gupta and Nandlal Gupta reached the spot with their colleagues. All of them also talked about keeping Ayodhya closed today but a decision on this has not been taken yet.
