Today, the festival of Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated with great pomp in the entire country including Gonda. A large number of policemen have been deployed around mosques for Eid-ul-Azha. So that there is no problem in offering Namaaz. People of the Muslim community can get up early in the morning to offer prayers.

COs and magistrates were deployed at mosques at various places for the Eid-ul-Azha prayers. So that no problems of any kind are faced. In the presence of Gonda Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal, Additional Superintendent of Police East Manoj Kumar Rawat, Sub-District Magistrate Sadar Avneesh Tripathi and City Magistrate Vijay Sharma, thousands of people from the Muslim community offered namaz and greeted each other by hugging each other at the Idgah of the city.

Eid-ul-Azha namaz was performed at various places in the district in the presence of magistrates, COs and station heads. The district administration has also appealed not to post photos of the sacrifice being done on the social media in view of the Eid-ul-Azha festival. Sacrifice has been asked to be done at a designated place. If sacrifice is done on the roads instead of at the designated place, then strict action will be taken. Along with this, the Gonda district administration has given strict instructions not to sacrifice even banned animals.

SP Vineet Jaiswal said that Eid-ul-Azha namaz is being offered in all mosques today. Namaz has been offered at many places. In the Idgah located in Gonda city, thousands of people offered Eid-ul-Azha namaz in our presence and greeted each other by hugging. Before the namaz, we had a meeting with all the religious gurus and instructed all the people to celebrate the festival by offering namaz in a safe manner. There should not be any kind of problem.

No one should upload photos of any sacrifice on social media, which would force the police to take action. Whatever guidelines were given by the government and discussions were held with the religious leaders, they have been followed to the letter. Wherever namaz was offered, it was done inside the Idgah and mosque. Namaz was not offered on the road anywhere in the district. Adequate police force has been deployed for security arrangements.
