In Aligarh, thieves broke into a closed house and stole jewellery and cash worth lakhs. The fearless thieves committed this crime in a house located just behind the Iglas police station and then fled from the spot. The people of the house were out at the time of the incident.

When the family returned home on Monday, they saw that the lock was broken and the gate was only latched. After which the family went inside and saw that all the household items were scattered and the jewellery and cash kept in the cupboard’s safe were missing. After which they immediately informed the police. The police reached the spot and are investigating the matter.

The house was locked for three days
Vikas Upadhyay, son of Durga Prasad Upadhyay, a resident of Iglas town, has a house in Shriji Dham Colony, located just behind the Kotwali. There was a function in his relatives’ house, due to which the whole family had gone out of the house three days ago and the house was locked.
When the family returned at 8:30-9 am on Monday, they saw that the lock of the house was broken. On going inside, they found that there was a theft in the house. The cupboard was also open and all the stuff was scattered. Jewellery worth about 1.5-2 lakhs and cash worth 1 lakh rupees kept in the safe was also missing. After which the victims informed the police.
The police is scanning the CCTV footage of the surrounding area so that the accused can be identified.
They took away the DVR and also broke the child’s piggy bank
There was no one in the house, so the thieves searched every corner of the house and stole things. During this, the accused also stole the DVR of the CCTV camera installed in the house. So that it does not get recorded in the camera.
Along with stealing the CCTV DVR, the accused also broke the piggy banks of the children kept inside the house and fled after stealing the money kept in them. Before leaving, the thieves closed the door of the house and put a latch on it so that the people around do not have any suspicion.
Police reached the spot and started investigation
After getting information about the incident, Iglas police reached the spot and started investigating the case. They have started scanning the CCTV cameras of the surrounding area so that suspicious people coming to the area can be identified. People are also being questioned.
CO Iglas Dr Krishna Gopal said that a case is being registered on the complaint of the victims. The police is investigating the matter and a team is being formed to arrest the thieves. Soon the accused will be identified and will be in police custody.
