24-year-old Anas, son of Faizan, who lived near the Falavada bus stand, used to do cloth business with his father in Faridabad. He had come home on Saturday to celebrate Eid. Around 10:00 pm, someone called him and asked him to come to the bus stand. Two youths were talking to him at the bus stand. Meanwhile, a youth shot him in the chest with a pistol and killed him. The accused fled from the spot. The CCTV camera captured the photo of both the youths. At the time of the incident, the police jeep was at a short distance from the spot. Hearing the sound of the bullet, the police reached the spot. The police immediately took Anas to the hospital in the car. Where the doctors declared him dead. The news of the murder of the youth caused an uproar among the family members. The police detained a neighboring youth for questioning in this case. On receiving the information of the incident, Mawana’s Saurabh Singh also reached the spot. The police is searching for the accused after seeing the CCTV footage.
Vandalism in the house of the accused
Enraged by the sensational murder incident, the mob attacked the house of the accused who had called Anas from his home. The mob entered the house and vandalised it. The women and children present inside the house barely managed to escape to save their lives. Police detained Sahil, a neighbour of Anas, on the allegation of making the call, but the police remained oblivious to the sensitivity of the situation. The enraged mob went out of control due to the murder incident. After the murder incident, a major mishap was narrowly averted due to the negligence of the police. Responsible people of the locality pacified the mob by explaining them.
Efforts are on to arrest the accused
SP Rural Kamlesh Bahadur said that the father of the deceased youth has given a complaint against four people. A case has been registered against all four people. Efforts are being made to arrest the accused.
