Kallu had married his daughter Manju Saroj in Bihar’s Baghrai area. Out of the two sons, Hiralal is a JE in the electricity department. He started living in Lucknow with his younger brother Suraj. When the brothers were not at home, Manju Saroj left her in-laws’ house along with her two sons and started living with her mother.

A dispute started between the two parties at the cremation ground itself.

Meanwhile, Manju’s mother Kakarhin (70) died of illness on Sunday night. On receiving the news of their mother’s death, both the sons also reached home from Lucknow to join the last rites. The body was taken to Kareti Ganga Ghat in Manikpur at 6 pm on Monday for the last rites.

Here Manju Devi refused to give the soil to Suraj. A dispute broke out between the two on the ghat itself. On this, Manju’s sons attacked Suraj with sticks. His wife Sapna and son Aryan, who came to intervene, were also beaten and injured.

The matter was settled after people intervened. Why was the sister stopping her own brother from burying his mother? This has become a topic of discussion among the people involved in the burial. The injured were admitted to CHC Kunda for treatment. SO Manikpur Jaichand Bharti said that the matter is not in my knowledge. Investigation is being done.
