These days people in Chitrakoot are troubled by the scorching sun and heat. There is a rush of patients in hospitals. People are falling sick due to the heat wave. Also, the number of patients suffering from vomiting, diarrhea, fever and stomach ache is increasing. A dozen people suffering from this have died.

A large number of patients were seen in the district hospital on Monday. Dinesh Bhojwani, son of Pratap Rai Bhojwani of Sadar Bazar, Karvi headquarters, suddenly fell ill due to extreme heat. Raju Bhojwani of the family immediately took him to the district hospital in an e-rickshaw, where the doctor provided him treatment. In the same sequence, Babulal (86), son of Jagannath of Mau town suddenly collapsed after eating food. The family members immediately brought him to the district hospital, where the doctors referred him to Prayagraj due to his serious condition.
Apart from this, Tijola (75) son of Dhilva from Taraunha of the headquarters was taken by his family to the district hospital when he developed fever at night. Where he died after about six hours of treatment. When an unidentified 58-year-old man was found lying unconscious at the railway station Karvi at around 9 o’clock in the night, the police sent him to the district hospital in an ambulance. Where the doctor declared him dead. Shankar Mishra of the RPF said that he reached there after receiving information that he was lying unconscious due to heat. No documents were found with him. It appears that he died due to heat stroke.
Ramdas (60) son of Badlu from Sadla Purva of Atarra police station in Banda district had come to Chitrakoot two days ago. On Sunday, when he was found unconscious on the Parikrama Marg, the police sent him to the district hospital. Where the doctor confirmed his death. The police identified the deceased through the papers found in his pocket and informed his son Bachcha. The son said that he died due to heat stroke.
In the same sequence, Prakash Badgaiya (70) son of Baijnath of Pindra intersection of Satna district had gone to Prayagraj with his wife Sumitra and a neighbour to take a bath on Ganga Dussehra. They returned to Chitrakoot by bus on Monday. As soon as he got down at the bus stand, Prakash fainted and fell. On receiving the information, Kotwali’s inspector Anil Gupta immediately sent him to the district hospital in an ambulance, where the doctor declared him dead. His wife said that his condition deteriorated because of the heat wave.
Apart from this, Mankunwar (55) wife of Deendayal of Rupadhata of Mauranipur in Jhansi district had come to the Bahilpurwa forest with neighbours Parvati and Meena to pluck tendu leaves. She died due to her health deteriorating suddenly due to extreme heat. Police arrived on receiving the information and took her to the district hospital. Where the doctors confirmed it. The police prepared the Panchnama of the dead body and got it post mortem done. Sukhlal (55) son of Ramasare of Narayanpur village of Kotwali Karvi returned home after grazing goats. When his health suddenly deteriorated, the family took him to the district hospital.

Sitaram (65) son of Munna, a driver from Gayatri Nagar of Banda district had taken people to Prayagraj on the day of Ganga Dussehra. They returned to Chitrakoot. The pilgrims went for the parikrama. He remained in the vehicle. When the passengers returned, they saw him in an unconscious state and took him to the district hospital. Where the doctor declared him dead. Passenger Ramesh told that he died due to heat stroke. Lalita Devi, wife of Radheshyam Singh of Raipura town, was taken to the district hospital by her son Satyendra when her condition suddenly deteriorated last night. Where the doctor confirmed her death.
The son said that the death was due to heat stroke. In the same sequence, when the condition of Ramashankar, son of Keshav, of Kapana Etaur of Pahadi police station area deteriorated, his son-in-law Avinash took him to the district hospital. Where the doctor declared him dead. Rekha Devi, wife of Ghanshyam of Purani Bazar of Headquarters Karvi, was admitted to the district hospital by her husband when she fell ill last evening. Where the doctors declared her dead. The husband said that her health deteriorated due to the heat.
Meanwhile, CMO Bhupendra Dwivedi said that 12 people have died, but whether they died due to heat is a matter of investigation. Yes, it is very hot. People should take care of themselves. Go out of the house only if there is urgent work. Carry water and ORS solution. Due to high temperature, the number of patients suffering from vomiting and diarrhea is increasing.
