Uttar Pradesh is going to run a campaign in mission mode for the next three months to provide the farmers the benefits of all government schemes and for the progress of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO). Under this, online registration of active FPOs in the state, linking them to online marketing platforms and licensing will be done.

The Yogi government has directed the Agriculture Department to speed up the process of strengthening active farmer producer organizations and linking them to ONDC and e-NAM. To promote these works, a farmer producer cell will be formed, which will work as an implementing agency. It is noteworthy that 3,240 FPOs in the state are working under the Atmanirbhar Krishak Samanway Vikas Yojana, which have been registered on the Shakti portal.
Saturation Many goals will be achieved through this campaign
For which, the framework set to strengthen FPO in the state through a detailed action plan includes promotion, creation of transparent agricultural market, input licensing process (fertilizer, seed, pesticide), Mandi license, GST license, FSSI license and onboarding on ONDC platform for market linkage. This process will be completed by linking to ONDC and e-NAM portal. Apart from this, it will help in completing all the important processes like equity grant, input license, seed license, seed dealership license and fertilizer license.
Farmer Producer organization cell will be formed
To promote the FPO framework in the state, a massive campaign will be run for the next 3 months. In this sequence, a farmer producer cell will be formed which will act as an implementing agency. To encourage FPO, the implementing agency will organize meetings at various levels with the government and will also prepare a detailed progress report along with the outline of the entire campaign. Monitoring of this report will be possible at various levels, which will make the reality of the progress of the work clear along with transparency. The State Advisory Committee (SLCC) and the District Level Monitoring Committee (DMC) will supervise the campaign related work process.
