A 12-year-old boy drowned in a drain adjacent to the Ghaghra river in Kaiserganj area of Bahraich today. People informed the family about the boy drowning in the drain. The weeping family reached the spot and local villagers entered the drain in search of the innocent boy. After about an hour, the boy was found out of the drain.

Magan’s 12 year old son Arvind, a resident of Majra Pandey Purwa of Godhiya number two village of Kaiserganj, had gone to graze the buffalo this afternoon. The buffalo started drinking water in the drain adjacent to the Ghaghra river near Majra Gadarian Purwa of Mangal Mela. Arvind tried to take the buffalo out. During this, his feet slipped and he drowned in the drain. Local people entered the drain in search of him, but due to the water being deep, he died by drowning.
Police sent the body for postmortem
The police, who arrived after getting information about the accident, took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem. The family is devastated by the death of their son.
