Two people drowned while bathing in the Rapti river in Shravasti. While four friends who were bathing with them are safe. With the help of shepherds and divers, the bodies of both were taken out of the water after an hour. The police reached the spot and took the bodies of both in their custody.

Troubled by the heat, 6 friends went into the water to take a bath together at Madhavapur Ghat in Malhipur police station area. It is being told that while bathing, two friends suddenly slipped and drowned in the water. While three friends came out safely. They informed their family members at home. The shepherds present nearby immediately reached the spot and started searching for the two youths drowned in the water along with local divers. After getting the information, the police also reached the spot. After hours of hard work, finally the bodies of the two youths who drowned in the water, Sangam Lal who was 25 years old, while the other Mahadev who was 27 years old and a resident of Laxmanpur, were taken out of the water.
Police sent it for postmortem
At present, the police have taken the bodies of both of them into custody and sent them to Bhinga for postmortem. While the condition of another youth is also said to be critical. He has been admitted to the Community Health Center Malhipur for treatment. He is undergoing treatment here. The accident has caused turmoil in the family.
