Former MLA of Rudrapur of GK and national spokesperson Akhilesh Pratap Singh, who was the Congress candidate from Deoria Sadar in the Lok Sabha elections, was going from the city to Rudrapur on Tuesday. Just then SP Sankalp Sharma’s car passed by and he instructed the Kotwali police to remove the hooter from the car with a hooter.

As soon as he got the instructions, Inspector Ved Prakash Sharma reached Bhatwalia crossing with his companions. Just then a Scorpio car of a Congress leader arrived there, which the Inspector stopped. Akhilesh Pratap Singh, who had gone ahead in another car, came back when the driver of his previous car informed him that he had been stopped by the police.

Asked the police officer for the papers of his vehicle
He started getting him down saying that he had asked his driver to drop him after the elections. The police also issued a challan of Rs 2000 for illegal use of horn. There was a heated argument between the police and the Congress national spokesperson over this.

When the Congress spokesperson asked the police driver Vikas Kumar for his driving license, he said that he did not have it. Later he showed it on his mobile. When the Congress leader asked the police inspector for the papers of his vehicle, he also started looking here and there.
