Noida Traffic Police is running a campaign against illegal hooter, black film, siren and government stickers, which are illegal as per the rules and regulations of Motor Vehicles Act. This campaign started on June 11 and is being run till June 25. So far, the police have caught 100 people violating the rules.

Strict action is being taken against those who violate traffic rules in Noida. 12 teams of traffic police have been formed, which are checking at different places. Apart from this, two teams have also been deployed at toll plazas Jewar and Loharli, which are checking the vehicles passing through there, because most of the complaints received at the toll are that people unnecessarily use horns and lights in their vehicles. Action is being taken against them.

DCP Traffic Anil Yadav said that under this campaign, 120 vehicles have been seized so far, while hooter has been removed from 270 vehicles. Designations and government logos have been removed from 500 vehicles. The category of violations of traffic rules included not wearing helmet on two-wheelers and not wearing seat belt inside the car, even jumping red signal and overspeeding.

7,000 drivers were fined for violating the rules. 5,200 two-wheeler drivers were challaned for not wearing helmets. The DCP said that this campaign will continue till June 25. In this regard, teams are continuously checking at different places and action is being taken against those who do not follow the rules.

To prevent violation of traffic rules, Noida Traffic Police has launched a special drive to take action against the culprits.
