There was heavy rain with thunderstorm in Ballia on Thursday morning. Rain started with strong winds at around 3 am on Thursday morning. It rained heavily for about one and a half hours. After that the speed of rain became drizzle. Meanwhile there was thunder along with strong lightning. Due to the rain people had to suffer a lot.

Mercury dropped to 4 degrees Celsius
With the rains, the weather has become pleasant. People have got relief from the heat. It is raining intermittently. The cool breeze is giving relief to the people. The temperature of the scorching heat has gone down by about four degrees Celsius. The temperature which was between 41 to 43 degrees Celsius has recorded a fall after the first rain. Today’s temperature is expected to be maximum 37 degrees Celsius and minimum 29 degrees Celsius.
Trees fell in various places due to strong winds
Meanwhile, due to heavy storm and rain accompanied by thunder, trees have fallen at various places. A tree fell in the district collectorate premises. Due to which the power supply is disrupted due to breakage of electric wires. There is also light waterlogging at the collectorate gate. Due to the rain accompanied by storm, electricity has been cut off in various rural areas including the urban areas of the district.
