The latest rumours doing the rounds on social media suggest that RJ Balaji is planning a sequel to the 2020 film Mookuthi Amman. RJ Balaji has reportedly planned to have Trisha in the lead role for the sequel and the actress has agreed to be a part of the devotional drama.
Trisha will join the list of leading actresses who have opted to play a devotional role in Mookuthi Amman 2 and fans await an official announcement on the project. The sequel is not said to be the continuation of the previous film and RJ Balaji will reportedly play the lead role in the sequel as well.

The announcement poster shows RJ Balaji cutting a birthday cake with a blood-stained knife, along with a gun and a hammer. The film is described as a teen comedy-drama, which makes the project even more exciting.
The producers shared the poster and wrote, “Extremely thrilled to welcome the super entertaining @RJ_Balaji for a completely cheerful & youthful ride. Buckle up for a super exhilarating outing.”
RJ Balaji is an Indian radio presenter, actor, television presenter, comedian and film director from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is best known as the host of 92.7 Big FM’s The Night Show with RJ Balaji, Take it Easy and the now-defunct Cross Talk, where he played pranks on unsuspecting victims.
