A seven year old boy died due to electric shock near Mahuli Bhorai Purwa of Pratapgarh Nagar Kotwali area. The boy lived in his maternal uncle’s house. On getting the information, his in-laws accused the woman, her lover and sister of murder and started creating a ruckus. However, the police took the boy’s life back.

Phulehra, daughter of Zainuddin, resident of Mahuli Bhorai Purwa of Nagar Kotwali area of Pratapgarh, was married to Gufran, resident of Ammau Kakraha of Antu in 2016. She had a seven-year-old son Masook. It is alleged that Phulehra separated from her husband five years ago and started living with her lover on rent in Bhuliyapur of the city. Meanwhile, she came to her maternal home. There, Masook died after being hit by an electric current in the afternoon.
When Phulehra’s sister informed Gufran over phone, many people reached there with him. They started accusing Phulehra, her lover and sister of murdering her by electrocution. Gufran said that when his son started becoming a hindrance between his wife and her lover, both of them killed him by electrocution. Phulehra’s sister also helped in this. Just a month ago, the lover had beaten Masook and broken his hand.
A youth is in custody
The accused, a resident of Bhuliyapur, was also found present at home. The police took him into custody. Gufran filed a complaint in the police station accusing him of murder. In-charge police station in-charge Manoj Kumar Yadav said that on the complaint of the boy’s mother, the body has been sent for postmortem. On the basis of the complaint, a case will be registered and legal action will be taken, a youth has been taken into custody. Interrogation is ongoing.
