South Africa has achieved its second consecutive victory in the Super 8 round of the T20 World Cup. The African team defeated defending champion England by 7 runs on Friday. With this victory, the African team has come closer to the semi-finals.
England won the toss and chose to bowl at Darren Sammy Stadium in St. Lucia. After a fast start, the African team could only score 163 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. De Kock scored 65 runs in 38 balls with the help of 4 fours and 4 sixes. Miller played a useful innings of 43 runs.
In the run chase, the English team lost 4 wickets for 61 runs. From here, Liam Livingstone and Harry Brook raised hopes of victory by making an aggressive partnership of 78 runs in 42 balls. Then in the last 3 overs, Kagiso Rabada, Marco Jansen and Enrique Nortya bowled economically and restricted England to 156 in 20 overs.

South Africa lost their third wicket in the 14th over. Here Heinrich Klaasen got out after scoring 8 runs. He was run out by Jos Butler on a direct throw. Wood was bowling, he bowled a wide ball to Klaasen. The ball was short pitched outside the leg stump and slow. The ball reached Butler in one bounce and after hitting the pad, went towards the square leg. Miller ran but Klaasen got lazy expecting the throw to not come. Butler picked up the ball and threw it directly. Klaasen got run out at the non-striker end.
6. Reeza Hendricks’ diving catch

England, chasing 164 runs, lost the first wicket in the second over. Kagiso Rabada sent Phil Salt to the pavilion in his first over. Salt was out after scoring 11 runs. Reeza Hendricks took a brilliant catch. It was the fifth ball of the second over. Rabada bowled a fuller ball on the fourth stump. Phil Salt drove to the left of the cover. But Reeza jumped to the left and took a brilliant catch.
7. Klaasen drops Bairstow’s catch
Heinrich Klaasen drops the catch at deep backward point.
Jonny Bairstow got a new lease of life in the fourth over. On the first ball of Kagiso Rabada’s over, Heinrich Klaasen dropped his catch at deep backward point. On the first ball of the fourth over, Rabada bowled a good length ball close to the off stump. Bairstow played a square drive from the back foot. The ball went in the air but slipped out of Klaasen’s hand at deep point.
8. Markram turns the match around with a catch
Markram caught Harry Brooke for 53.
Enrique Nortya was bowling the last over of the English innings. England needed 14 runs to win the match. On the first ball, Enrique Nortya bowled a fuller ball on the off stump. Brook played a shot to clear mid-off. Markram was standing at mid-off. He ran backwards and went slightly outside the infield and took a brilliant catch.
