They say that the police did not take any action against the accused Nitin’s father and family who were involved in Aayushi’s harassment. Whereas the accused was planning to kill her for a long time. Ever since the marriage took place a year ago, the in-laws were harassing her continuously. After all, what happened in this one year that Nitin killed his wife so brutally.

On 8 May 2023, Nitin and Aayushi had an arranged marriage. The family celebrated the wedding with great pomp. Aayushi’s father Anant Prakash Mishra had passed away three years ago. But mother Pinky Devi did not let anything be lacking. She gave whatever the boy’s family asked for. The wedding took place in a big lawn in the city.

Just four days after the marriage, the demands of the in-laws started increasing. But the mother kept ignoring it. After this, Nitin and Aayushi came to Lucknow. Here Aayushi started working in Medanta and Nitin became an accountant in Urban Company. Both of their salaries were also good. Despite that, Nitin used to pressure her to give him the entire salary.

A complaint was made to the police even before this

On 2 December, 6 months after the marriage, Nitin beat Aayushi over money. Aayushi was badly hurt during that time too. Her mother Pinky came to Lucknow and informed the police about the beating. Then Nitin apologized and promised not to beat her again. Everything was fine for a few days but then he started harassing her again.

Started studying medicine with stubbornness

Mother Pinky Devi says that Aayushi was the second among four sisters. She was very interested in studies. So she did GNM course. Since the father was not there, it was thought that the daughters will be married in a good family. Therefore, money was saved.

But Aayushi insisted and completed her studies. After this she started working in Medanta Hospital. She got married in Sitapur, 12 km away from home. I thought that now my daughter’s life will change but everything is over.

When he bought land in the name of his younger daughter, he started feeling jealous

Aayushi was given education with her share of money. She also got a good job. The younger daughter was made to complete her BA and land was bought in her name with her money. After this, Aayushi’s husband and in-laws started torturing her even more.

They started pressuring her to bring money from home. If she refused, they would beat her. Then Nitin started demanding her full salary. Aayushi was planning for the future by saving some money.

He ran away with the jewellery but became a victim of an accident

After killing his wife, the accused Nitin ran away from home with all the jewellery. When the train slowed down, he wanted to escape by boarding the moving train but he lost his balance and fell down. Due to which he was caught.

To save herself, she told the police that she had committed suicide. Her family members are also co-accused in this case but they are currently out of jail. She was being mentally and physically tortured since her marriage.

He also gets Aayushi to fill petrol in his car

Sister Mini told that whenever Nitin used to drop sister Aayushi to office, he used to ask her to fill petrol. Apart from this, whenever he used to go somewhere, he used to buy petrol and other things from her money. If she jokingly refused, he used to leave her on the way or come home and start beating her. Despite these acts, she somehow tolerated it.
