CM Yogi said that these Home Guard volunteers will work as disaster friends. Orders have been given to prepare the rules soon.

Important points related to the Chief Minister’s meeting

,The Chief Minister told the officers that whether it is a disaster or a public situation, the Home Guard volunteers have always performed their duties with full hard work. They have also made every effort to improve law and order.

-The CM said that at present there are more than 76 thousand full-time Home Guard volunteers in the state. They have been deployed at about 75 thousand duty points. By 2033, 42 thousand Home Guards will retire. In such a situation, it is necessary to make appointments.

– Disaster Mitras deployed through the State Disaster Management Authority are skilled. Disaster Mitras should be given training and given the opportunity to serve as Home Guard volunteers. The CM directed to prepare a manual in this regard.

-Homeguards currently serving should also be given training as disaster friend. Weekly drills should also be conducted for the physical fitness of Homeguard volunteers.
