Tanaji Galgunde expressed his strong opinion on marriage.
The actor played the role of Akash Thosar aka Parshya’s friend in Sairat.
Tanaji Galgunde is an actor who primarily works in Marathi cinema. He is best known for his role in the film Sairat. He was also nominated for the Filmfare Marathi Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the film. Tanaji Galgunde expressed his strong opinion on marriage, which is currently discussed in the industry. He gave an interview to a YouTube channel. He said, “I don’t like the marriage arrangement. I may have gone too far now, but I am now comfortable with a live-in relationship. Either watch it before marriage, don’t know if the girl likes it or not and get married.” Talking about this, Tanaji further expressed a clear opinion that it is a good thing to spend so much for one day, that is the wedding day. “Why should all people come together and make such a fuss for one day? Why spend so much for one day?” he added.
He said, “Dancing together is a good thing. But I want to have a small party. I think live-in relationships are great. I want to register if I want to get married. Don’t spend so much. Get married at Rs 2000 to 4000. Get married to each other.”
Tanaji Galgunde played the role of Akash Thosar aka Parshya’s friend in the 2016 Marathi blockbuster. After the success of the film, he gained name and fame for his role and his role became very popular. Tanaji has a huge fan base.
He entered the film industry with the 2016 film Sairat. The actor made his Bollywood debut with the film Jhund in 2022. He also worked in many films including Bhirkit, Free Hit Danka, Ekdam Kadak, Ghar Banduk Biryani, Maza Agadbam, Manasu Mallige and Gast. This year, he acted in the film Navardev Bsc Agri.
Directed by Nagraj Manjule, Sairat is among the top Marathi romantic films. The plot of the film depicts the story of a fisherman’s son and a local politician’s daughter and the consequences they face while trying to stay together. Despite the opposition, they continue to fight for their love. It became the highest-grossing Marathi movie ever made and inspired remakes in other languages.
