Suresh Kumar Purohit, a resident of this village, had a government ration distribution shop. He was distributing food grains to ration card holders, but he was short weighing the food grains. Due to which the ration card holders were upset. The ration card holders, upset with the short weighing, made a video of the ration dealer short weighing the food grains. They also complained about this matter to the Deputy District Magistrate of Konch, Sushil Kumar.

Ration was given by placing one kilo weight on the weighing scale.

The beneficiary had complained
Komal Kushwaha, son of Mukesh Kushwaha of Jara, giving an application to the sub-district magistrate, said that he is living below the poverty line and has a ration card. The village’s ration dealer Suresh Kumar Purohit is constantly indulging in underweighing while distributing food grains through electronic weighing scale. When the ration dealer weighs the food grains, he puts a 1 kg weight on the electronic weighing scale. Due to which he is getting less food grains. In this video it can be clearly seen that while weighing the food grains, the ration dealer puts a 1 kg weight on the electronic weighing scale and is taking away the food grains in the name of more weight.

SDM said- quota has been suspended
Taking cognizance of the complaint and the video, the sub-district magistrate ordered the supply inspector Konch Mukesh Kumar Tiwari to investigate. When the supply inspector went to the spot and talked to the ration card holders, they complained about the short weighing. After taking cognizance of which, he informed the senior officials about it. On which action was taken against the ration dealer and his quota was suspended.
