Police Commissioner Ramit Sharma’s whip has now fallen on careless policemen. After investigation, DCP Traffic Ashutosh Dwivedi has suspended TSI i.e. Traffic Sub Inspector Sunil Kumar. Not only this, an inquiry has been initiated against Traffic Inspector Santosh Singh. Apart from this, 8 TSIs on duty in the city are facing action. All are being investigated. Action will be taken after the investigation report comes in a week.
Zero action in a month
Suspended TSI Sunil Kumar is accused of not taking any action for a month. That is, he neither filled the driving report, nor seized any vehicle nor issued a receipt for the fine. Similarly, the negligence of the remaining inspectors and sub-inspectors who came under the scope of investigation has also come to light on a large scale.

For the past one month, Prayagraj has been experiencing severe heat. Big events and festivals took place during this period. The problem of traffic jams became severe many times. The commissioner himself held many meetings but the traffic police officers did not become alert. After this, a secret investigation was started against them. The location of the mobile started getting traced. The policemen posted at the intersections were called and their statements were recorded.
People living on the main crossings were talked to. Their duty books were checked. When the challan report and online action were looked at, the matter of negligence came to the fore. When asked for an answer, they could not give the correct answer. Finally, DCP Ashutosh Dwivedi suspended one TSI and started an investigation against others.
The DCP said that the TSI who has been suspended did zero work in the name of action. He did not take any action on duty. He did this for a month. Similarly, many others are also involved in negligence.
