A shopkeeper died after being hit by a dumper in Itaunja police station area of Bakshi Ka Talab police station area. The accident happened on Sunday evening. Police sent the body for postmortem. The deceased could not be identified.

Near Arjunpur village on the National Highway Lucknow Sitapur Road in Itaunja police station area, a dumper number UP 32 CT 6008 which was coming from Sitapur crushed a shopkeeper selling mangoes on the roadside. People informed the Itaunja police station about the incident which happened around 6:30 pm on Sunday evening.
The police reached the spot and tried to identify the body but could not do so. According to the police, the age of the deceased seems to be around 40 years. The police has filled the Panchnama of the body and sent it for postmortem. At the same time, they are trying to identify the deceased. In this regard, former Pradhan Yash Pal of Arjunpur village has given a complaint in Itaunja police station.
