The 13 km long Ram Path from Saadatganj to Nayaghat Lata Chowk was constructed before the Pran Pratishtha. The road construction was done by the PWD. The sewer line work was done by the city unit of Jal Nigam. The first rain of pre-monsoon has exposed the claims of both the departments of doing better work.

Due to rain, the roads with large chambers on the Rampath caved in at more than a dozen places, affecting traffic for several hours. However, after the rain stopped in the morning, the Public Works Department hurriedly filled all the potholes by putting pebbles. The newly constructed Rampath road in front of Mukut Complex in Rikabganj had caved in. Apart from this, the road of Chowk-Rikabganj, the newly constructed Rampath in front of Balrampur House in Rikabganj area caved in. The road caved in at about eight places from Rikabganj Civil Line crossing to Rikabganj crossing. This road has caved in near the manhole of the deep sewer line due to leakage from the drainage built on the Rampath.

Despite this, questions are being raised whether Ram Path is safe for Ram devotees to travel or not. Anand Kumar Dubey, Executive Engineer of Jal Nigam Nagar Unit, said, “The road has sunk at six places on the Civil Line PNB to Rikabganj road. He said that there is a possibility of potholes due to water seeping from the star water drain at the manhole near the joint at six places. At present, these have been filled.

There was waterlogging on the railway station road due to lack of drainage system.
